Dmytro Skapintsev played his first match in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as he debuted with the New York team against Milwaukee (111:130).
The Ukrainian basketball player spent one minute on the court, but did not score or assist.
Skapintsev is the ninth Ukrainian to play in the NBA. Currently, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (Boston) and Oleksiy Len (Sacramento) are active in the league. Other Ukrainians who have played in the NBA include Oleksandr Volkov, Vitaliy Potapenko, Slava Medvedenko, Kyrylo Fesenko, Oleksiy Pecherov, and Vyacheslav Kravtsov.
