Ukrainian government allocates record amount of funding for construction of fortifications in Zaporizhzhya Oblast

“More than UAH 1.3 billion has been allocated for the construction of fortifications in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, and this construction is underway in the morning and continues in the evening,” said Fedorov.

“Some work is carried out at night. Everything is being done to provide a sense of security to civilians in Zaporizhzhya Oblast and, of course, to the military as soon as possible.”

Fedorov also noted that the construction work is being carried out by both civilian and military contractors and will be completed as soon as possible.

He also added that the main objective of the construction of fortifications is to make the Ukrainian military feel more secure and ready for any development of the frontline situation.

Fedorov pointed out that this does not mean that anyone is going to retreat.

Earlier, Legion of Liberty spokesman Kostyantyn Denysov said that in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, Russian occupants are trying to use the tactics from Avdiivka.

According to him, the Russians, having an advantage in artillery and aviation, constantly cover the entire front line with fire. They are actively using tanks and armored vehicles.
