Ukraine is building a network of secret underground facilities to manufacture weapons and ammunition, Spanish newspaper El Mundo reported on May 9.

The program aims to reduce Kyiv’s reliance on foreign military aid, hoping to become a major arms exporter after the war ends.

According to the article, some of these plants are camouflaged with decoys, with workers being carefully vetted to weed out Russian informants. Strategic Industries Minister Oleksandr Kamyshin oversees the program.

The report says that Ukraine's current product line includes various aerial and naval drones, Kozak armored personnel carriers, Neptune cruise missiles, and Stuhna anti-tank systems. Since 2023, gross production volumes have surged threefold.
