“We also categorically reject all accusations, periodically voiced by officials from the Republic of Mali and the Republic of Niger, of Ukraine's alleged involvement in 'collaborating with terrorists,' 'supplying terrorists with weapons and information,' 'supporting terrorist coalitions,' and similar allegations,” the statement read.
The ministry added that "these claims are baseless and aimed at discrediting Ukraine." Additionally, Ukraine reiterated that all Western weapons supplied to Kyiv since 2022 are tracked and monitored, with none of Kyiv’s international partners recording any misuse or misallocation of arms provided.
“In light of the unfounded accusations by the governments of Mali and Niger against Ukraine, we urge an end to the spread of false information that echoes the deceitful propaganda narratives of the aggressor state Russia, aimed at discrediting our nation and justifying Russia's unprovoked, unjustified, and illegal war against Ukraine," the statement concludes.
On Oct. 13, the French newspaper Le Monde published an article alleging that Ukraine supports rebels in northern Mali. The report claimed that since the summer of 2024, rebels from the Tuareg movement known as CSP have been using Ukrainian drones.
