The Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) approved a change
that waives long-term visa requirements for foreign
volunteers and humanitarian workers who apply for temporary residence
permits.
According to the bill summary on the parliament’s website on March 12, the amendment removes the long-term visa rule for certain foreigners and stateless persons for the duration of martial law and for one year after it is lifted.
The simplified procedure covers foreigners arriving to work for foreign legal entities that receive or distribute humanitarian aid, as well as those coming to participate in international and regional volunteer programs.
The provision do not apply to Russian citizens.
