Ukrainian Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi highlighted the growing importance of unmanned systems in modern warfare. He noted that Russian forces have increased their use of strike drones, posing significant threats to Ukrainian equipment, particularly during movement.
In response, Ukrainian forces are enhancing their technology, including fiber-optic FPV drones that improve the effectiveness of targeting Russian equipment and troops.
Syrskyi praised the efficiency of unmanned systems units from the 46th Airmobile, 57th Motorized Infantry, 28th Mechanized, 35th Marine, and 3rd Assault Brigades.
He singled out the UAV regiment Ptakhy Madyara, led by Major Robert Brovdi, as a standout in improving survivability and effectiveness.
He also emphasized the need to strengthen the unmanned unit of the 155th Mechanized Brigade, which faced a mass desertion scandal, while addressing other operational challenges.
