Widespread internet outages in Ukraine following Russian missile attack

Real-time metrics show further declines to connectivity in Ukraine after a coordinated missile attack by Russian forces, NetBlocks said. Impacts are most evident in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi oblasts, while Kyiv and other centers have also been targeted.

The Russian military launched a widespread missile attack on Ukraine bright and early on March 22. Explosions were heard across the country, including a hit on a critical infrastructure facility in the Vinnytsia region. Kharkiv was left almost entirely without power, with the occupiers launching over 15 strikes on energy facilities.

There were casualties and injuries among civilians in Khmelnytskyi, along with damage to infrastructure objects.

Russian forces targeted Ukraine's largest hydroelectric power station in Zaporizhzhya, sparking a fire. There is no threat to the dam's integrity,  Ukrainian hydropower operator Ukrhydroenergo reported.
