Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate hits Russian rail logistics in Crimea

A special unit of Ukraine’s military intelligence agency damaged Russian army railway logistics facilities in occupied Crimea during an operation in April 2026, Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate said on May 6.
During the operation, carried out in April, special forces from Ukraine’s military intelligence agency carried out five precision strikes.
The attacks hit locomotives used by Russia to transport military equipment and fuel, as well as a fuel tanker, directly while the freight trains were in motion.
On May 5, Ukraine’s military intelligence agency said specialists from the Prymary special unit struck a Be-12 Chaika aircraft, three boats and a support vessel used by Russian occupation forces in occupied Crimea.
