Ukraine and Lithuania have signed a memorandum of cooperation on defense industry, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced via Facebook on Nov. 4.

The document outlines a plan for joint production of UAVs and their components, ammunition, and electronic warfare (EW) systems, the minister noted.

Lithuanian National Defense Minister Laurynas Kasciunas arrived in Kyiv earlier on the same day.

"Together with my Lithuanian counterpart and Ukraine’s Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin, we signed a document aimed at strengthening our defenders on the battlefield," Umerov stated.

He also noted that during his meeting with Kasciunas, they discussed ways to deepen cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania, including increasing military aid to Ukraine in 2025.

“I am sincerely grateful to Lithuania and particularly to Mr. Kasciunas for their comprehensive support of Ukraine,” the Ukrainian minister added.

“Lithuania is our steadfast friend, aiding us diplomatically, economically, and most importantly, militarily.”
