Ukraine and Poland have agreed upon a series of steps to lift the blockade of the border between the two countries, the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry said on Dec. 1.

According to the message, a meeting took place in Warsaw on Dece. 1, between Deputy Minister Serhiy Derykach and the Polish Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Rafał Weber.

They agreed on a number of steps, including:

- Opening the Ugryniv - Dolhobyczow border crossing for empty trucks;

- Creating separate lanes for empty vehicles in the eQueue system at the Yahodyn - Dorohusk and Krakovets - Korczowa border crossings;

- Launching a one-month pilot project for eQueue registration before crossing the border at the Nyzhankovychi - Malhowice checkpoint.

Protesting Polish truckers are demanding that Ugriniv - Dolhobyczow and Nyzhankovychi - Malhowice operate only for vehicles registered in the EU. However, this is unacceptable for Ukraine. The ministry added that they are working to regulate queues at the border and decrease the load on checkpoints.
