The ministry said each simulator was developed specifically for training Ukrainian pilots. Only a handful of such systems exist worldwide, and their mobility allows them to be easily relocated, ensuring uninterrupted training at different locations.
The Defense Ministry said the delivery is the latest from the Air Force Capability Coalition and is expected to help train more F-16 fighter crews.
On June 18, Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken said Belgium could transfer all of its F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine once it receives F-35 aircraft. According to various estimates, the Belgian Air Force currently operates more than 40 F-16s.
In March, Belgian media reported that Ukraine had yet to receive any of the 30 F-16 fighter jets Belgium pledged two years earlier. The delay has been linked to the delivery schedule for Belgium's new F-35s.
On April 8, it was reported that Norway had also yet to deliver the six F-16 fighter jets it had pledged to Ukraine.
