According to a directive from the Ukrainian military, men
aged 50-60 are drafted into service only in select cases, Ukrainian MP and
member of the parliamentary Defense Committee, Fedir Venislavsky, told Liga.net
on Sept. 25.
Venislavsky confirmed that the directive from the Ground Forces Command includes provisions limiting the mobilization of men aged 50-60. The MP noted that this approach reflects the position of military leadership.
Men over the age of 50 will only be mobilized if they possess critical military qualifications, he explained.
The directive in question was issued on Sept. 19, limiting the ongoing general mobilization in the country to male citizens aged 25 to 49.
