Russian troops gear up for assault operation in Vovchansk, Ukrainian military says

Fighting has taken place in three city areas, with a total of 11 combat clashes recorded in the Kharkiv sector over the past day.

“The situation remains tense, as the enemy is trying to improve its tactical situation,” the report said.

The Defense Forces are standing firm and inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Some 124 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded in the sector over the past day alone.

This follows an earlier report from OTG Kharkiv on Aug. 14 that the Russian forces had regrouped their assault groups in Vovchansk to continue their attacks in the sector.

The enemy was observed moving personnel, evacuating, and providing logistics near Hlyboke village. The Russians rotate and amass personnel on the frontlines in Starytsya, Buhrivatka, and Ohirtseve.
