It has been established that a 61-year-old resident of a village in the oblast’s Chuhuiv District volunteered to cooperate with the Russian invaders immediately after their invasion.
In particular, the suspected collaborator:
• provided the invaders with food and housing;
• directed enemy troops to the houses of wealthy fellow villagers in order to illegally seize household appliances and cars from them;
• helped to conduct searches of his fellow villagers and was engaged in looting abandoned houses.
The detainee has been served with charge papers under Part 1 of Art. 111−2 (assistance to the aggressor state) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for punishment of from 10 to 12 years in prison.
