Ukrainian military forces swiftly responded to Russia’s latest overnight drone volley on Ukraine on the night of Oct. 2, successfully neutralizing four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Ukraine’s Air Force reported on Telegram.

Russian forces initiated an assault on Ukraine employing Iranian-made Shahed drones, advancing from the southeast, specifically from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, a region under Russian occupation.

The Air Force reported a total of seven launches of these assault UAVs.

On the evening of Oct. 1 and into the early hours of Oct. 2, air raid sirens sounded in several Ukrainian oblasts in response to a fresh Russian assault. The Russian aggressors executed drone strikes and deployed tactical aviation.

In Kherson Oblast, aerial bombs were directed, causing damage to an industrial facility. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, three drones were brought down.
