Ukraine's Special Operations Forces said they had destroyed a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in occupied Crimea, according to a statement posted on Threads on June 23.

“Sorry, but we have some urgent official news: the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in Crimea no longer exists — SOF. The first one is down. Should we show it?” the statement said.

Russian-occupied Crimea came under a drone attack overnight on June 18.

Residents reported hearing about 20 explosions near the railway bridge spanning the North Crimean Canal.

Ukraine’s General Staff later confirmed the strike on the bridge, saying it had been used by Russian forces for military transportation and logistical support.

The railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal is a key structure on the Kerch-Dzhankoi rail line. According to the monitoring channel Krymskyi Veter, damage to the bridge could completely disrupt both freight and passenger rail traffic to Crimea.
