The strikes targeted the Filanovsky, Korchagin and Graifer platforms, which Russia uses to supply its occupying forces. Hits were recorded, and the extent of the damage is being уточнюється.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces also struck a Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile launcher near Baranycheve in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast. The Buk-M3 is a medium-range air defense system used by Russia against aerodynamic targets. Preliminary reports said hits and explosions were recorded at the site.
In addition, the Defense Forces attacked a logistics depot of the occupiers’ 49th Army near temporarily occupied Novotroitske in Kherson Oblast.
The General Staff said it is striking facilities directly involved in the armed aggression against Ukraine and systematically weakening the military, economic and offensive potential of the occupying forces.
In late 2025, Ukraine stepped up strikes on Russian oil production facilities and vessels in the Caspian Sea, more than 900 kilometers from the border. All of the attacks were carried out by long-range strike drones of Ukraine’s Security Service and the Armed Forces’ Special Operations Forces.
In particular, on Dec. 11, 12 and 19 Ukraine attacked the Filanovsky oil platform.
On Dec. 12 and 15, the Defense Forces struck the Korchagin platform, damaging critical equipment, and on Dec. 19 they hit the Graifer drilling platform.
The Filanovsky field is considered one of the largest explored in Russia’s sector of the Caspian Sea. Its reserves are estimated at 129 million tons of oil and 30 billion cubic meters of gas.
