World Bank approves $4.8B for Ukraine under PEACE project, says PM Shmyhal

Ukraine will receive $4.8 billion from the World Bank under the PEACE project, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced on X on Nov. 22.
“This is a crucial contribution that helps finance key budget programs during the war. We thank the U.S. and development partners for their support, which is vital for our country and people,” Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
Shmyhal also expressed gratitude to the World Bank leadership for their “critical” backing of Ukraine.
“Your solidarity strengthens our resilience and fuels our determination to move forward. Together, we are building a stronger future!” he added.
On Nov. 15, Shmyhal announced Ukraine would secure over $1 billion in concessional loans from the World Bank
