Ukraine in talks with two countries on alternatives to PAC-3 missiles – Zelenskyy

He noted that there is a global shortage of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot air defense systems, with production at about 60 units per month.

Most of these missiles are currently being directed to the Middle East.

“All anti-ballistic packages are being maximized — we see how partners … where they are sending them. To where it is very hot today. This is primarily the Middle East. Unfortunately, Ukraine is sometimes forgotten, but we remind everyone and are grateful to partners who hear us,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy said that during his trip to the Middle East he discussed interceptor missiles but declined to provide details.

“To be honest, the world — not only Ukraine — the world needs to find an alternative as soon as possible. And we are negotiating with two countries to make this possible. But for now … When there is a result, I will speak openly,” the president said.

On March 27, Politico reported that the White House has begun warning allies that weapons supplies to Ukraine could be halted in the coming months due to the war in Iran.

The Washington Post reported that the Pentagon is considering redirecting air defense missiles intended for Ukraine to the Middle East, including missiles for Ukraine’s Patriot batteries.
