ARX Insurance Company has begun offering property war risk coverage of up to UAH 100 million ($2.5 million) in Ukraine, according to its website.

Starting in November 2024, the company's "unprecedented amount of property insurance coverage includes protection against damage from missile attacks, drone attacks and their debris."

However, the coverage excludes areas near the frontlines and the border with Russia.

This offer aims to provide exceptional security conditions for both Ukrainian and international companies operating in Ukraine. ARX is able to provide this service through an agreement with the U.S. Corporation for International Development (DFC), which acts as a reinsurer and entered into the agreement during the active phase of the war in Ukraine.

The Economy Ministry expects that “the implementation of this DFC mechanism will have a positive impact on the number of private companies involved in reconstruction projects.”

DFC is also considering providing additional reinsurance to other Ukrainian insurance companies.

ARX is a part of the Fairfax Financial Holdings, an international Canadian insurance group.
