Ukrainian forces have managed to deplete
Russia’s momentum and stabilize the frontline, despite dealing with an acute ammunition
shortage, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his April 4 evening
address.
Zelenskyy was speaking after meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
“At the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief [meeting], there was also another detailed report from the Commander-in-Chief [Syrskyi] regarding all the points on the frontline where the Russian army had expected to be successful at this time,” said Zelenskyy.
“We managed to stabilize our positions. Even under the conditions of an ammunition deficit and significant slowdown in supply [of weapons], such results are indeed very good.”
The president then thanked the troops for their heroic work on the battlefield.
