Ukraine strikes Russian ammo depots and troop areas in occupied territories

Ukraine’s defense forces struck ammunition depots and areas where Russian troops were concentrated in occupied territories, General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said on March 19.

The statement said Ukrainian forces struck ammunition depots in Donetsk and Yalta in occupied parts of Donetsk Oblast, as well as in the settlement of Kalanchak in occupied Kherson Oblast.

A logistics supply depot in the area of Vesele in Donetsk Oblast and a fuel depot in the area of Novotroitske in occupied Kherson Oblast were also hit.

In addition, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck concentrations of Russian personnel near Yalta in Donetsk Oblast and in the settlement of Ovrazhky in Crimea.

The extent of the damage and Russian losses is being assessed, the General Staff said.

It also reported that overnight on March 19, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Russian innovation center of the Granit production and technical enterprise in occupied Crimea, which is involved in the repair and maintenance of Russian air defense systems.

The enterprise is part of the Almaz-Antey concern. Its facilities are used to repair S-400 Triumf and S-300PM2 Favorit surface-to-air missile systems, 92N6E and 96L6E radar stations, as well as Buk-M2/M3 and Tor-M2 medium- and short-range air defense systems.

On March 19, the General Staff said that over the past day Russia lost:

four armored combat vehicles,
32 artillery systems,
three multiple launch rocket systems,
1,391 operational-tactical drones,
155 vehicles and fuel tankers,
and one piece of special equipment.
