“People who work around the clock, despite freezing temperatures and snow, repair networks after [Russian] shelling and keep cities and communities supplied with electricity and heat, often risking their lives — they deserve the highest recognition and honor,” Svyrydenko said in a Telegram post.
The award will be given to up to 50 recipients each year, with awards of UAH200,000 ($4,600) apiece. Funding will come from the state budget.
“This is an additional token of the state’s gratitude, alongside the monthly pay bonuses for repair crews that we introduced at the start of the year,” the PM added.

Railways who carry out emergency restoration work would receive bonuses of UAH20,000
($462) each. The payments are to be made from January through March 2026, according
to Svyrydenko.
