“Ukraine continues active consultations with the United States on future security architecture and the long-term economic development of our country,” Stefanishyna wrote in a Facebook post.
She said Ukraine’s side will include National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, President’s Office head Kyrylo Budanov, and Servant of the People party chairman David Arakhamia.
According to Stefanishyna, the visit aims to refine both the security guarantees agreement and a separate economic reconstruction pact totaling as much as $800 billion, which could be signed at the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos. She reiterated that the documents ultimately must align closely with Ukraine’s national interests.
On Jan. 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his team is continuing to prepare draft documents with the United States on security guarantees and post-war reconstruction. He said the agreements “are, in many respects, ready for signing.”
Officials say summit negotiations between Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump, attended by European, could take place in Davos on Jan. 21.
