Russian troops fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from occupied Crimea, along with 197 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of attack drones at Ukraine overnight, the Air Force reported on Telegram on March 9.
The drones were launched from Russia’s Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as the Hvardiiske air base in occupied Crimea. About 120 of the drones were Shaheds.
As of 8 a.m., air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 161 Russian drones.
Two missiles and 36 drones targeted eight sites across Ukraine.
The air assault is ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in the in the Ukrainian airspace.
