Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using Shahed drones and unidentified UAVs from the Oryol and Bryansk oblasts; Ukraine’s Air Force downed 50 of the 73 drones, the press service said on Nov. 24.

The Air Force reported that 19 drones were likely lost due to countermeasures from Ukraine's electronic warfare.

Four enemy UAVs remain airborne as combat continues. Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups participated in repelling the Russian assault.

Air defenses operated in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Zhytomyr oblasts.

Earlier, the Kyiv City Military Administration said Russian troops launched a strike drone attack on Kyiv early November 24, with multiple drones targeting the capital. More than a dozen UAVs were destroyed by Ukraine's defense forces.

The air alert lasted over three hours, with no reports of damage or casualties in Kyiv.
