Command officials noted that the situation around Siversk in the Slovyansk sector remains tense.
Russian forces are trying to infiltrate the city in small assault groups, taking advantage of weather conditions. Ukrainian troops are eliminating invaders in Siversk and on its approaches.
Russian troops are also attempting to raise Russian flags in the urban area to create a propaganda image.
Fire engagement includes artillery subunits and strike UAVs of Ukraine's Defense Forces, the command added.
Earlier, the DeepState monitoring project reported that Russian forces continue funneling infantry into Siversk, which is "gradually passing into enemy hands."
The U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) wrote in its Nov. 19 report that Russian forces are trying to apply their new offensive tactics in the Siversk and Slovyansk-Lyman directions to create conditions for advances toward Donbas fortress cities from the northeast and east.
Earlier, this tactic already brought the enemy advances on the Pokrovsk and Huliaypole fronts, analysts added.
On Nov. 20, Siversk City Military Administration head Oleksiy Vorobyov said Siversk remains under Defense Forces control; there are no Russian units in the city.
On Nov. 25, DeepState noted that on the Siversk frontline sector, the enemy has increasingly been detected in the southern part of the city and on its eastern outskirts.
