Ukrainian border guards thwarted a Russian offensive on the Bakhmut front on May 15, the State Border Guard Service reported on Telegram.
The enemy tried to storm the positions of the Revenge border guard brigade at dawn using two tanks and five armored personnel carriers.
The Russian convoy was stopped, resulting in the destruction of a T-64 tank, a BTR-82 armored personnel carrier, and about ten Russian infantrymen.
Additional Russian troops were killed by night bombers and artillery. The remaining invaders, described as "barely alive," fled the battlefield.
