Ukrainian drones struck 23,400 Russian targets in July, mostly using FPV drones and night bombers, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said following a meeting on the development of unmanned systems forces on Aug. 8.

Ukrainian drones also eliminated 5,134 enemy troops over the past month. According to Syrskyi, the leading contributors to this effort are the Magyar Birds brigade and the Phoenix and Achilles units of the Defense Forces.

During a meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received a report on the development of MiddleStrike strike drones with a range of 50–120 km, as well as the progress of promising and innovative unmanned systems projects.

“I listened to the proposals and requests, and assigned tasks to strengthen the UAV capabilities of the Armed Forces,” Syrskyi wrote on Facebook.

Earlier, on August 8, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russian forces had lost over 50,000 operational-tactical UAVs in the war against Ukraine, with 238 destroyed in the past 24 hours alone.

In July, Syrskyi stated that in June, the UAV group struck over 19,600 Russian targets and eliminated around 4,500 Russian soldiers.
