At least two Ukrainian long-range Liutyi (Fierce) attack drones successfully targeted an oil refinery in Orsk, Russia’s Orenburg Oblast, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defense Council’s Center for Countering Disinformation reported on Telegram on Oct. 3.
Video of the attack, reportedly on the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery, was shared online. The video shows the drones flying overhead, followed by explosions near the facility.
According to the Exilenova+ Telegram channel several Liutyi drones were used in the strike.
Situated near Russia’s border with Kazakhstan, Orsk is located approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
The refinery, a subsidiary of the oil and gas company RussNeft, has an annual capacity of 6.6 million tons of petroleum products.
