Ukrainian forces targeted a military training ground in
Russia’s Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, on June 21, killing several instructors and
destroying dozens of drones.
The attack was reported by the Ukrainian Naval Forces' press service on June 24.
According to the report, the strike hit the facilities of the 726th Air Defense Training Center in Yeysk.
“This facility is engaged in the training and preparation of military personnel for the use of various types of UAVs,” the statement said.
Ukraine said the attack destroyed the following:
- 20 Shahed-136 kamikaze drones;
- 50 Lancet attack UAVs;
- 40 ZALA reconnaissance UAVs;
- 10 SuperCam reconnaissance UAVs.
“There are also casualties among the instructors and technical personnel from Yelabuga [where Russia manufactures Iranian-designed Shahed drones],” the message added.
