Members of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet were identified as the perpetrators of mocking prisoners and executing Ukrainian servicemen who surrendered in hopeless situations, according to the 95th Separate Polish Airborne Assault Brigade.
The brigade noted that prisoners of war are protected under international law, including the Geneva Conventions, which Russian forces consistently ignore with gross and cynical violations.
However, they stated, "These monsters in military uniform failed to impress: when they faced Ukrainian paratroopers in battle, they were all destroyed. The same fate awaits other soldiers from this brigade."
On Oct. 13, the analytical portal DeepState reported that Russian invaders shot nine Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk Oblast on Oct. 10, citing sources from the 1st Separate Tank Brigade.
On Oct. 6, the 12th Special Forces Brigade of the Azov National Guard reported that Russian forces executed three Ukrainian soldiers at close range after they surrendered in Donetsk Oblast.
On Oct. 1, the Prosecutor General's Office stated that Russian troops shot 16 Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Pokrovsk area, calling it another gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and a serious international crime.
