Neither decisions nor draft proposals regarding tariff hikes now exist, as the issue is not even on the agenda, the officials wrote.
"The spread of false claims about electricity tariffs is an attempt by the enemy to destabilize the situation in Ukraine."
In December, Ukraine’s National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NCREPU) increased electricity transmission costs by nearly a third for 2025, raising them to 686.23 UAH (18.77 USD)/MWh per hour. However, experts noted that this adjustment would raise final electricity prices by no more than 3%, mainly affecting industrial giants such as metallurgy and chemical plants.
Meanwhile, Oleh Popenko, head of the Union of Utility Consumers, speculated that electricity tariffs could increase in 2025, potentially rising from 4.32 UAH/kWh to 6.64 UAH/kWh ($0.10 USD/kWh - $0.16 USD/kWh).
