"These activities persist on a daily and monthly basis, with roughly 20,000 individuals being mobilized each month," Yusov said.

"Recently, Moscow Mayor Sobyanin mentioned an intriguing number – 45,000 Muscovites who are purportedly at the frontlines. This figure was previously 35,000. This implies that the mayor acknowledged an additional 10,000 Muscovites being mobilized in recent months."

Yusov said that the Kremlin's actions amount to compulsory mobilization. Those who have recently acquired Russian citizenship are often the first to be mobilized.

Earlier, Russia amended its law to increase the conscription age limit. Men aged 18 to 30 will now be subject to service, rather than 18 to 27.

According to a Bloomberg report on March 24, Russia intends to enlist an additional 400,000 contract soldiers following its recent unsuccessful offensive in Ukraine.

This development coincides with the context of substantial losses sustained by the Russian invasion army, which are now approaching 257,000, as indicated by Ukraine’s General Staff.
