According to the statement, the process represents adopting best practices from EU countries and the United States.
The ministry hopes that pharmacies will eagerly apply for vaccination permits. The license requires a given pharmacies to have a separate room to administer the shot and a waiting area. The vaccinations will only be administered by specially trained pharmacists.
Health Minister Victor Liashko added that expanding access to flu shots beyond hospitals and clinics will improve public health and reduce the load on Ukraine’s healthcare system.
To get vaccinated at a licensed pharmacy, Ukrainians will first have to get a corresponding prescription from their family doctor, which can be done online.
