He also stressed the importance of the Kursk Oblast operation to create a buffer zone on the Russian territory.
"Anything that causes losses to the Russian army, its defense and its economy helps us prevent the expansion of the war and put a just end to this aggression," Zelenskyy said.

Russia withdrew several brigades totaling up to 5,000 soldiers from Ukraine to repel the Ukrainian offensive in Kurk Oblast, The Wall Street Journal reported on Aug. 17.
