Ukrainian brigades long engaged in combat operations in southern Ukraine have begun rotating out for rest and recovery, Operational Command South spokesperson Dmytro Lykhovyi said on March 11, as reported by Ukrainian defense news outlet ArmyInfrom.

“Brigade rotations and recoveries are continuing as far as the operational situation allows, which sometimes is possible,” said Lykhovyi.

“This is a positive development.”

He also noted that roughly two-thirds of enemy air and artillery strikes occur at the southern part of the frontline in Ukraine.

On Feb. 27, Ukraine’s 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade began its first rotation since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
