Operators of Ukraine’s 413th Raid Regiment said they had struck Russian military communications facilities deep behind the front line in occupied Ukrainian territories to disrupt command systems and drone operations used by occupying forces on May 23.

Strikes were recorded in Melitopol, Verkhnii Tokmak and Zachatyvka.

According to the regiment, disabling such equipment weakens command and control of Russian occupying forces in certain sections of the front line.

It also significantly complicates the work of Russian drone operators, for whom stable communications are critically important, the unit said.

On April 23, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces and fighters from Azov Brigade said they had destroyed a command post and a base belonging to a Russian FSB special unit in occupied Donetsk.

According to Unmanned Systems Forces commander Robert Brovdi, the drone strikes killed 12 Russian officers and wounded 15 others.
