This marks the first time in over a decade that the company has undertaken such extensive operations, according to a statement from Ukrnafta.
"Field phases of the 3D surveys were conducted under challenging conditions: work was carried out in all seasons, in highlands, river valleys, and marshy areas," the company reported.
“Notably, a project was implemented in difficult mountainous conditions: for the first time in Ukraine, a wireless data recording system was used.”
"All the data obtained will form the basis for building digital geological models of the fields and will serve as a foundation for decision-making using artificial intelligence," said Ukrnafta Director Serhiy Koretskyi.
“The digital models will enable a clear understanding of resource locations and more accurate planning of new exploration drilling.”
In 2025, Ukrnafta plans to survey at least 800 square kilometers.
Previously, it was reported that Ukrnafta nearly returned to pre-war levels of production in 2024. Specifically, the company produced almost 1.42 million tons of oil and 1.17 billion cubic meters of gas.
