Ukraine’s national defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom has
opened its first office abroad in Washington, Strategic Industries Minister Oleksandr
Kamyshin announced on July 9.
The announcement coincided with the first day of NATO’s 75th annual summit, also held in the U.S. capital.
According to Kamyshin, the representation will facilitate joint U.S.-Ukrainian defense cooperation. Additionally, the office will engage with U.S. contractors and government agencies and plan agreements for military technology transfers.
The minister added that the permanent Ukroboronprom office would stimulate Ukraine's integration into NATO's defense industrial base.
