Russian milbloggers slam commanders for exaggerating battlefield gains in Ukraine

The Nov. 2 frontal assault on Ukrainian positions northeast of Siversk was conducted without adequate fire support, resulting in significant losses of personnel and equipment.
The bloggers criticize Russian military field commanders for producing “beautiful” false reports and maps that deliberately inflate the Russian frontline, which they then send to the top military leadership to secure promotions at the cost of Russian servicemen's lives and military equipment losses.
Since May 2022, when Russian forces launched a catastrophic river crossing, Bilohorivka has been a contested focal point of the Russian ultranationalist community. Numerous attempts to capture the village have failed, resulting in significant Russian armored vehicle losses.
On May 16, 2022, Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhiy Haidai said that Russian forces had lost about 100 pieces of military equipment and over 1,000 troops near Bilohorivka.
