The United States has imposed sanctions on more than 250 individuals and entities for evading Russian sanctions and supplying arms and technology to Moscow, the U.S. Treasury Department announced on Dec. 12.

The list included those involved in selling military equipment and ammunition from North Korea to Russia. Washington also expanded measures against third-party entities materially supporting Russia and further restricted Russia's use of the international financial system.

Sanctions were levied against citizens and companies from Russia, Turkey, the UAE, China, Switzerland, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. Among them are Russian defense industry companies producing and selling defense and industrial technologies, drones, and spare parts:

- Vysochaishy PJSC and its CEO, Sergey Dokuchaev;

- Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol;

- Plaz LLC;

- Aerokon LLC;

- Vector LLC;

- Technology 5 LLC;

- 75 Arsenal JSC;

- Eirburg JSC.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated that the Kremlin is turning Russia into a wartime economy, and therefore U.S. sanctions continue to strengthen control over arms suppliers from third countries that support the Russian defense industry.
