According to the report, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy asked Zelenskyy and his team to outline a long-term war strategy for the coming year. The request aims to help the United States better understand Kyiv's objectives and how Western support can aid in achieving them before making final decisions.
The sources added that no significant changes in Washington’s policy on ATACMS missile use are expected this week.
Blinken and Lammy visited Kyiv on Sept. 11, announcing substantial contributions to helping Ukraine rebuild its energy infrastructure which remains under constant Russian air strikes.
U.S. President Joe Biden and UK PM Keir Starmer will meet in Washington on Sept. 13, where they are likely to discuss joint policies on Ukraine using Western weapons in Russian territory.
At the same time, The Guardian reported that the UK government has already decided to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow cruise missiles for strikes on Russian territory.
