Footage captures moment Russian drone hits school in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district

Firefighters have extinguished a fire at a school building, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported. Kyiv police said no one was injured in the attack. At the time of the strike, more than 100 students and about 60 staff members were in a shelter. The strike damaged the facade of the school building at the third-floor level and sparked a fire, police added.
Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones overnight on Oct. 1, with damage reported in the capital’s Solomianskyi, Obolonskyi and Pecherskyi districts. Fires broke out in a residential building, a warehouse and among parked vehicles. One person was injured.
Overall, Russian forces launched 107 attack drones of various types at Ukraine overnight on Oct. 1. Strikes were recorded at 11 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at four locations.
