Vitagro Group is a successful agro-industrial holding, operating in agriculture, energy, processing, construction, and chemical industries. The company manages around 90,000 hectares of land and is involved in livestock, horticulture, renewable energy, fertilizer production, animal feed manufacturing, and construction materials.
It has recently launched a biomethane plant connected to the gas transmission system with an annual capacity of 3 million cubic meters.
“We have completed one project and are preparing two more where we see raw material potential for production. The capacities of the next two plants could reach 3 and 5 million cubic meters of biomethane annually,” Labaziuk noted.
Ukraine’s biomethane market could surpass 100 million cubic meters per year in the near future, and Vitagro aims to be a major player in this growing sector, he added.
Leveraging its experience in building and operating biomethane plants, Vitagro also plans to offer consulting, engineering, and construction services for similar projects across Ukraine.
Biomethane is an eco-friendly gas derived from purifying biogas, which is produced from food and livestock waste.
