Russia loses 1,050 soldiers, 5 tanks in Ukraine in one day

The total combat losses of Russian forces in their war against Ukraine’s Defense Forces have reached approximately 1,046,270 soldiers, with 1,050 killed or wounded on July 23, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported on Facebook.
Russian forces also lost:
- Tanks: 11,046 (+5) units
- Armored combat vehicles: 23,047 (+10) units
- Artillery systems: 30,746 (+24) units
- Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,446 (+0) units
- Air defense systems: 1,199 (+0) units
- Warplanes: 421 (+0) units
- Helicopters: 340 (+0) units
- Operational-tactical drones: 47,638 (+86) units
- Cruise missiles: 3,533 (+0) units
- Warships/military boats: 28 (+0) units
- Submarines: 1 (+0) unit
- Vehicles and fuel tanks: 56,137 (+96) units
- Special equipment: 3,935 (+0) units
On June 12, the General Staff reported that Russian troop losses had surpassed 1 million. On July 10, The Economist noted that during Russia’s so-called summer offensive, which began on May 1, Russian forces may have lost around 31,000 soldiers, more than at any other stage of the war.
