Moscow's Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo International Airports repeatedly suspended all flights amid waves of drone attacks on the Russian capital throughout the evening and overnight, according to the Federal Aviation Agency report on May 22.
Residents of the suburban cities of Domodedovo and Podolsk reported numerous explosions and air defense operations.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed that at least eighteen drones approaching the city were shot down.
“Emergency services are at the sites of the downed drone debris,” he wrote.
According to the Mash Telegram channel, at least 27 drones had targeted Moscow and its suburbs, as of the evening of May 21.
