“Syrskyi visited the units, found certain shortcomings that led to problems in management, problems with moral and psychological state, problems with relationships, with the use of available resources - human, material and technical,” Popovych said.
“And Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave Oleksandr Syrskyi complete carte blanche to change the military leadership.”
And now, the expert is convinced, Syrskyi will find people who, in his opinion, are more experienced and can solve the above problems.
“And he makes such decisions. That is, he believes that it will be more effective,” Popovych added.
“Obviously, he has found people who can bring some combat experience that will improve the situation. The role of the individual, the commander, is important. It is not absolute, of course, because there are many factors that determine the situation in certain units and units, but it is significant.”
On March 2, Syrskyi announced personnel changes among brigade commanders who do not know the situation and whose actions pose a threat to personnel.
Secretary of the Defense Committee Roman Kostenko also said that many people, including him, have questions about how the defense of Avdiivka was organized.
