Zelensky stated that since the beginning of 2025, the Russian military has dropped nearly 27,700 bombs on Ukraine, launched 11,200 kamikaze drones, and fired more than 700 cruise and ballistic missiles.
“The pace of these strikes, consciously set from the very first days of the full-scale war, shows that Russia has restructured its state, society, and economy to be able to kill people in other countries with impunity and on a massive scale,” Zelenskyy said.
He added that talks with Moscow at various levels have not yielded a peace deal or even a ceasefire.
“This means that with every new strike, every diplomatic delay, Russia is giving the world the middle finger—to everyone who hesitates to increase pressure on Russia…,” said the president.
Zelenskyy warned that by tepid reaction to each escalatory Russian attack, the world signals to the dictator that he can proceed frenzy of aggression.
“Sensing weakness instead of strength and pressure, Putin will always commit new crimes,” he said.
Zelenskyy reiterated that Ukraine is grateful to all those around the world trying to stop the war.
“If the strong do not stop Putin, they share responsibility with him; and if they want to stop him, but can’t, Putin will no longer consider them strong,” he concluded.
