Russia earlier announced the closure of summer camps in Crimea, alongside a nearly 50% drop in tour bookings to the peninsula. The Russian Union of Travel Industry said bookings in Russia-annexed Crimea fell 58% over the past two weeks compared with the same period last year. The drop in tourist traffic was driven by transport problems, fuel shortages on the peninsula, and the “general information environment”, according to TravelLine.

Ukrainian strikes on Russian targets in Crimea

An overnight Ukrainian drone attack destroyed several Russian military targets, including a Pantsir air defense system, a Nebo radar station, and several Orion drones near temporarily occupied Kerch, Crimea, on June 23.

Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, published footage on Telegram that he said showed strikes on fuel storage tanks at the Kerch oil terminal. He apologized to Ukrainians living in occupied territory for “the constant air raid alerts, closed bridges and roads, darkness, noise and stress.” He urged them to stay safe and remain away from military sites and anything that poses a fire hazard.
